Our Mission

Our intention is to ensure that Foxboro Never Forgets the tragedy that occurred on September 11, 2001. Moreover, in the words of our good friend Cindy McGinty, it is important to remember that “the horrible people who planned that horrible day thought they were making us weaker. They made us stronger… they brought us together.” We would like to bring Foxboro together and pay tribute to the many Americans that lost their lives on September 11th and the many others that continue to serve to keep us safe.

Mike and Cindy McGinty

Mike, an active father to Daniel and David and a devoted and loving husband to Cindy, took the time from his busy schedule to give back to our local community in many ways, including his active involvement with Bethany Congregational Church in Foxboro.  Gardening, reading, helping others, and most importantly, spending time with his family were the activities and values Mike most treasured.

This scholarship in his memory will provide a lasting tribute to the generous spirit of the community that meant so much to Mike, and that has been so helpful to his family after his tragic death.

Through the McGinty Scholarship Foundation, Mike’s family hopes to help college bound students who share Mike’s sense of community service achieve their dreams.
