Stay Tuned for Next Year's Event
The McGinty Family Fun Day was a huge success. Read more about it in this Foxboro Reporter article: "Making something good come out of 9-11."
In loving memory of Michael G. McGinty
The purpose of the McGinty Scholarship Foundation, named in honor of Mike McGinty, who died on September 11, is to award two scholarships to college-bound High School seniors, currently residing in Foxboro, who share the same sense of community service and values as Mike.
Mike, both an active father as well as a devoted, loving husband to Cindy, took the time from his busy schedule to give back to our local community in many ways. His active involvement with Bethany Congregational Church in Foxboro, gardening, reading, helping others and most importantly, spending time with his family were values Mike most treasured.
This scholarship in his honor provides a lasting tribute to the generous spirit of the community that meant so much to Mike and has been so helpful to his family after his tragic death. Through this scholarship, the Foundation has helped nine college bound students who share Mike’s sense of community service, to achieve his or her dreams.
