Our Mission

Our intention is to ensure that Foxboro Never Forgets the tragedy that occurred on September 11, 2001. Moreover, in the words of our good friend Cindy McGinty, it is important to remember that " The horrible people who planned that horrible day thought they were making us weaker. They made us stronger... they brought us together. We would like to bring Foxboro together and pay tribute to the many Americans that lost their lives on September 11th and the many others that continue to serve to keep us safe.

In 2009, President Obama signed into law the Serve America Act, a bill sponsored by the late Senator Kennedy, making September 11th a national day of service and remembrance. Our plan is to invite every club, group, and organization in town to participate in town-wide community service projects on the morning of September 11th. That afternoon we will gather on the common to enjoy the traditional McGinty Family Fun Day activities. All funds raised will go towards the McGinty Scholarship Fund and a September 11th memorial, which will be built at the Foxboro Public Safety Building. The aim is to dedicate the memorial next year on the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Read more about the planned memorial...

In keeping with the deep commitment to service and volunteerism, Foxboro Never Forgets recently organized volunteers to assist with the first-ever Harvard Pilgrim 10K at Patriot Place road race. Forty-seven volunteers helped with registration, the expo, water stops, as road marshalls, and in other capacities. Foxboro Never Forgets looks forward to next year's race and even greater participation by the generous citizens of Foxboro.

Tax-deductible donations for the September 11th memorial can be sent to Foxboro Never Forgets Inc., PO Box 626, Foxboro, MA, 02035. Or if you prefer, you can make your donation online using your PayPal account. Even if you do not have a PayPal account, they will process your credit card on our behalf.
