Foxboro Never Forgets is deeply committed to the idea of community service. We organize a day of service each September and look for other ways to connect people and opportunities.
Below are some past service projects completed as part of the Foxboro Never Forgets day of service:
7/4/2011: Foxboro Never Forgets again organized volunteers to assist with the Harvard Pilgrim 10K at Patriot Place road race.
9/11/2010: The Foxboro Youth Soccer Association held a food drive on September 11. Players and coaches are asking for donations of non perishable food items which can be donated in bins located at Stather, Friends and Army fields.
Fall 2010: The Lions Club helped the Burrell PTO clean up the picnic area at the school.
Fall 2010: A local neighborhood organized a clean-up at an elderly neighbor’s house.
9/8/2010: The Foxboro High School marching band collected non-perishable foods and items for the Foxboro Discretionary Fund at rehearsals.
8/25/2010: Lloyd Gibbs, Pete Rossiter, Tim McCarthy, Brendan Sullivan, and Drew and Garrett Briggs renovated the basement of St.Mary’s Church. All of the walls were painted, the main hall floor was stripped and waxed, and all the pews and windows were cleaned in the main Church for a total of 110 hours of service.
7/4/2010: Foxboro Never Forgets organized volunteers to assist with the first-ever Harvard Pilgrim 10K at Patriot Place road race. Forty-seven volunteers helped with registration, the expo, water stops, as road marshalls, and in other capacities, logging nearly 200 community service hours.
